Today in Amazon deals: Veep, 500 googly eyes, and tons of toilet paper

In an effort to both serve our readers and help support The A.V. Club, we are going to post daily links to deals and interesting items that we find over on Amazon. If you use these links to click through and buy something—not just the thing you clicked—on Amazon, we will see a portion of that income. You don’t have to do that if you don’t want to, but if you do, know that we appreciate it.

Veep, The West Wing, and The Newsroom (starting at $13.99)

Amazon is dipping into the White House with another of today’s daily deals, offering up DVD and Blu-ray versions of Veep, The West Wing, and The Newsroom, a show that’s not really about Washington at all. Each Veep season goes for about $14, while a box packed with the complete West Wing goes for just under $60.

Quilted Northern ultra-plush toilet paper, 24 supreme rolls ($19.84, was $24.79)
Brawny pick-a-size paper towels, 16 XL rolls ($23.19, was $28.99)

Here’s the deal: You’re always going to need toilet paper and paper towels, unless you’re one of those wilderness weirdos who uses a sponge tied to a stick to wipe your butt. Today only, Amazon Prime subscribers can exclusively pick up a ton of Quilted Northern TP or Brawny paper towels for a song, plus have them delivered straight to their homes. Seriously, you guys. Do this deal and you’ll never have to know the panic of running out of toilet paper again. Budweiser stove-top smoker ($34.99, was $59.99)

It’s a little unclear what Budweiser has to do with smoking meats, fish, and vegetables, but whatever. This indoor/outdoor smoker comes with two wood chip samples, a recipe booklet, and a travel tote. It’s even dishwasher safe, which is pretty boss.

30 percent off Graco car seats, strollers, and other baby items

Amazon’s daily deals can be a good place to look for all sorts of items, including things you’d normally be happy paying full price for. Today the site is offering 30 percent off Graco car seats, strollers, and baby gear. If you’ve got a bun in the oven or a kid just rolling around in the back of the car, go check this sale out. A bunch of the car seats are going for under $100 and have excellent Amazon ratings. You can also pick up a swaying baby swing and all manner of nifty-looking strollers.

10-piece Cuisinart anodized cookware set ($109.99, was $420)
12-piece Cuisinart stainless cookware set ($179.99, was $670)

Another of Amazon’s deals of the day today are these cookware sets, both of which are going for deeply discounted prices. The stainless set includes a steamer, two sauté pans, and two saucepans, all of which come with fancy glass lids. The anodized set doesn’t have a steamer, but doubles up on the saucepans. Either set would make a great starter kit for a budding chef, though there’s also something to be said for owning a matching cookware set at any point in your life.

It must be vacuum season on Amazon. The site is offering yet another great deal on a cordless vacuum, this time the Makita XLC02RB1W. If you want to pick up extra filters or a brush attachment, you can also do that via Amazon for only a few extra bucks.

Pour-over coffee is all the rage right now, and this stainless steel gooseneck kettle will help you fill all your home barista needs. It’s stove-top safe, ergonomically sound, and holds 40 ounces of water. There’s also a 90-day “no questions asked” guarantee.

The Human Centipede II: Full Sequence ($0.99 to rent, or $19.99 to own)

This week seems like as good a time as any to watch the second Human Centipede movie, which centers around “Martin, a mentally disturbed loner” who’s obsessed with the first Centipede film. Although the $0.99 one-day rental is a pretty good deal, you could also opt for the 7-day free Shudder trial, which gets you access to literally hundreds of scary horror properties at once. After your week is up, you’ll be charged $4.99 a month, but that’s a pretty good deal for those who are into blood and gore.

Tuna sushi plush ($8.79)

Isn’t this little guy adorable? As a bonus, it’s billed as a “nap cushion” for those who are prone to doubling over for a little snooze. And if you’re not into tuna, there are tons of other sushi-friendly options as well.

500-pack of round wiggle eyes ($7.70)

Bring the greatest joy to others by carrying these around in your purse or backpack along with a little tube of super glue. Add eyes to pay phones, public toilet tanks, and even pizza boxes. The world is alive!

Unwrapped 2.0 season 2 ($2.99 per episode or $9.99 for the whole season)

Did you know Alfonso Ribeiro hosts Unwrapped now? Sorry, Marc Summers.

Luvo chicken chile verde with polenta and black beans, 8-pack ($68.96)

Healthy, Earth-conscious eaters might want to pick up this 8-pack of all-natural steamed chicken dinners, which actually get pretty good reviews on Amazon. At only 300 calories, it would make a great diet-friendly lunch as well.
