Last week we reviewed the fine new album by New Jersey indie-pop group Big Troubles, Romantic Comedy. Now the band has released a video for the record's enchanting opening track, "She Smiles For Pictures." A fine example of Big Troubles' mastery of classic pop-rock songcraft—the influence of the Zombies and Pernice Brothers is obvious here—"She Smiles For Pictures" has been given somewhat unusual video treatment. In the clip, a guy who sort of resembles the titular character from Powder wanders around a zoo in a depressive haze. Not exactly what we pictured when we first heard "She Smiles For Pictures," but it's still a catchy track nonetheless. [Via Stereogum]
