Tyler, The Creator’s solo debut Goblin was the album that launched a thousand think-pieces back in May. But other than Odd Future’s much-hyped performance at the Pitchfork Music Festival and some trash-talking from Steve Albini, the record seems to have fallen by the wayside ever since. This might have something to do with the fact that Goblin is a bit of a chore to sit through, with little in the way of hooks, wit, or anything else normally associated with pleasure. “Bitch Suck Dick” exemplifies Goblin’s graceless sledgehammer style, though the video (directed by Tyler) is at least a little more fun, delving into Tim & Eric-style TV parodies that don’t quite distract from the song’s tiresome barking.
