Today, in “Shit Our Kanye Says”: “Going Mad Max,” with three new albums a year
It’s that time again, folks, for everyone’s favorite segment here on the old A.V. Club Newswire: “Shit Our Kanye Says,” in which one of the world’s greatest musicians and worst advocates for the idea of letting celebrities control their own Twitter accounts says something just this side of crazy on social media, and then we have to report on it. Today, an #allpositivevibes Kanye West—who recently claimed he was working on a new album called Turbo Grafx 16, and is apparently still tinkering with the final mixes for The Life Of Pablo—put aside his feuds with people in nice pants and giant mouse heads to double down on the work, announcing that he’s “going Mad Max” and planning to release three new albums (and six new fashion collections) a year.
No more fashion calendar… I’m going Mad Max… 6 collections a year…3 albums a year

Is it true? Literally no one in the world—including and especially, we’d argue, Kanye West—can know for sure; certainly, he released a new song a few weeks ago, suggesting that whatever artistic mania he rode through the elaborate mixed-message buffet of the release of The Life Of Pablo might still have him in its grip. But we’re kind of hoping it’s not, not because the material on Pablo wasn’t great—it was—but because we don’t think either he or we could survive an annual triple trip to Valhalla down the old Fury Road.
