When Neil Gaiman visited the Minnesota Public Radio show Wits recently, he and host John Moe had Adam Savage, co-host of Mythbusters, on the air, recounting the “great myth” of an impromptu performance of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” as Gollum in Minneapolis while battling a particularly nasty nosebleed.

At first Savage begins to tell the story of the performance focusing on the nosebleed, before he’s shifted in the far more interesting direction of the Gollum singing Gaynor, after which Savage reprises his unsettling and hilarious performance of “I Will Survive” for the audience.
