Today’s Amazon deals: Cheap cashmere and a game-changing bottle opener

In an effort to both serve our readers and help support The A.V. Club, we are going to post daily links to deals and interesting items that we find over on Amazon. If you use these links to click through and buy something—not just the thing you clicked—on Amazon, we will see a portion of that income. You don’t have to do that if you don’t want to, but if you do, know that we appreciate it.

Up to 50 percent off American Tourister luggage sets (Starting at $69.99)

There’s something so very adult about having matching luggage, though it can be so darned expensive. Opt for an American Tourister set on Amazon and pay relatively little money for reasonably nice luggage. Today only, Amazon users can pick up a lightweight two-piece spinner set for $69.99 or $79.99, depending on how big you want your bags to be. For $99.99, you can score a two-piece spinner set, plus both a duffel and a backpack, making you ready for any global adventure.

Up to 65 percent off cashmere clothing and accessories

Another of Amazon’s deals today will help you get through the winter in comfort and style. The site has put 125 different cashmere items on sale, from a $59.99 men’s crew neck sweater to $26.99 fingerless gloves. If you want to opt for surrounding yourself in pure luxury, you can always pick up this $159.99 blanket, eye mask, and bag set, for when scratchy airline items just won’t cut it.

Lenovo desktop PC ($349.99, was $499.99)

Today’s marquee Amazon deal is this Lenovo PC, which has an Intel Core i5-6400 processor, a 500GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, and comes packed with both Windows 10 Pro and a DVD±RW drive.

Magnetic bottle opener and cap catcher ($16.81, was $24.99)

The A.V. Club’s Gwen Ihnat has one of these in her sweet rumpus room, and it’s a game changer. Never chase down a rogue cap again. If you’re more into something portable, you can opt for this shark jaw opener, which lets you chomp caps off at will anywhere you go.

Giant toppling tower ($89.99)

You’ve played giant Jenga at bars and in backyards, but now you can own a non-branded set for yourself. It’s not cheap, but it’s got a lifetime warranty and comes with a carrying bag for easy portability. The set also includes a dry erase board for claiming next and setting rules.

Peppa Pig and George wiggle plushies ($29.99, was $39.99)

These adorable pigs are more than just plush representations of the adorable cartoon characters. They also oink, say phrases like “wiggle wiggle!” and “you’re my best friend,” and fall over on their own. Pick them up for a future kids’ birthday party, or just for yourself.

“I am Chewbacca” costume T-shirt ($17.99-$24.99)

Because of the way we do these Amazon posts, we can see what people are ordering. (Don’t worry. We can’t see who’s ordering what, or what you’re doing with anything. We can just see a list of what’s been ordered by all people, all day.) Thus, we’re getting a fun glimpse at what some of your Halloween costumes could be. We’re particularly fond of this “I am Chewbacca” T-shirt someone bought, which essentially says “I wanted to wear a costume, but I did not want to not wear a T-shirt.” Another one of you is going as “person riding inflatable T. rex,” and someone else entirely—we assume—is going as a Top Gun character. One of you is also going to be a sassy Rosie The Riveter, while still another of you is either going to have a very fun, interactive superhero party, or is just going to cheap out and wear a color-your-own superhero mask. Either way, we hope all of you have a happy and safe Halloween weekend full of candy, adult beverages, and lots of spooks and haunts.
