Amazon Prime, $79—new members only
Just in time for Black Friday (and ostensibly to commemorate the premiere of The Grand Tour), Amazon’s discounting one-year Prime memberships to $79 today, for new members only.
In the past, there have been loopholes for existing members to take advantage of these sporadic Prime discounts, but unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case this time around. That said, if you haven’t yet joined Prime, this is a fantastic opportunity.

Overwatch, $35
Overwatch is arguably 2016’s only good thing must-play game, and while it’s had a few small discounts around the margins, today’s the first time it’s ever gotten a significant price drop.
While supplies last, $35 will get you a copy on PS4, Xbox One, or PC. That’s the same price we’ve seen in Black Friday ads, so there’s no point waiting for next week.
20 percent off on select clothes, shoes, jewelry, watches, and more
And so it begins. Besides the markdown of Amazon Prime (which if you haven’t taken advantage of it, what are you even doing?), Amazon is rolling out a bunch of great deals today. The site is taking 20 percent off on “select clothes, shoes, jewelry, watches, and more.” And by “select,” they mean basically everything. Discount is applied at checkout, so make sure you’re paying attention.
Imagine buying a coat or a new pair of boots and having them show up on Monday, rather than two weeks from now. Buying from Amazon Fashion allows that, since Prime is available on most items.
Sony 7.2 channel home theater 4K receiver, $198
While integrated sound bars are increasingly popular options for home theater audio, if you like to kick it old-school with a receiver and satellite speakers, Amazon’s top-selling receiver is down to an all-time low of $198 today, about $150 less than usual.
The Sony STRDH770 includes four HDMI inputs (all of which support 4K at 60FPS), Bluetooth streaming, and 7.2 channels of audio output. That’s a lot of bang for your buck.
EPIKGO self-balancing scooter, $500
I have great news. You can buy hoverboards now without worrying about them blowing up under your feet! This model from EPIKGO is marked down to an all-time low of $500 today on Amazon, and includes a one-hour battery (at its max 10 mph), IP65 dust and water resistance, the ability to climb 18-degree slopes, and even headlights. This deal is only available today though, so float on over to Amazon to snag one.
Circle with Disney, $85
Disney is apparently a consumer electronics company now, and its Circle seems like a must-buy piece of gear for every parent this holiday season.
Circle syncs with your home wi-fi, and lets you set content filters, app-by-app time limits, and a whole lot more on any iOS or Android device. I honestly have no clue how this works, but reviews are solid, and today’s $85 price is $15 less than usual.
