The word staycation has only been part of the American vernacular for a brief moment yet it's already irritating as fuck. That doesn't look to change with the announcement that Todd Phillips will be producing a film of the same name with the help of scribes Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay. According to Urban Dictionary a staycation is "A vacation that is spent at one's home enjoying all that home and one's home environs have to offer".
The Variety piece notes that Phillips is using his newfound clout to becoming a Judd Apatow-like one man movie factory, which means we'll be seeing a lot more movies that are just like his, only not as good.
