The first confirmed addition to the Batman 3 cast is Tom Hardy, who is free to reunite with Inception director Christopher Nolan now that the delay of George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road has opened up his schedule considerably. According to Deadline, Hardy’s character is still a secret, but it’s a “reasonable assumption” to believe that he’ll play one of the key villain roles. Which villain that will be is, of course, still up for debate, but recent reports suggesting that the next Batman would film some scenes in New Orleans have given rise to the rumors that Killer Croc may be emerging out of the bayou. But again, all of that is still unsubstantiated, and until we hear differently, we suppose Hardy could be playing just about anyone. Though probably not The Ventriloquist.
