Tom Hardy's weirdest transformation may be into Al Capone, not Venom
We haven’t gotten to see what Tom Hardy will look like when the black symbiote takes over in Venom and turns him into the eponymous murder monster/antihero, but Hardy seems to be chronicling a more disturbing transformation over on his Instagram. Last month, we reported that he had shared the first photo of himself in character as an aging Al Capone in Josh Trank’s Fonzo, a photo that made the old mobster look extremely bummed out to have a tattoo with a top hat-wearing skeleton, and now Hardy has revealed a weirdly gross close-up of him in his Capone prosthetics.
The movie is about Capone as he begins to succumb to dementia, and Hardy definitely looks like he’s going through some heavy shit in that photo. Would it possible for Hollywood to start casting him in some goofy comedies? He deserves something light where he doesn’t have to wear a big mask, turn into an old man, or be trapped in a WWII fighter plane for the whole movie.
Hardy also shared this pre-prosthetics photo, which is a nice tease for how he’d look if he were totally smooth:
Actually, that one’s also weird. Maybe it’d be easier if we all just stop following him on Instagram.
