Tom Holland unveils his new Spider-Man suit, is a walking spoiler on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Jimmy Kimmel’s been doing his show on location in Brooklyn all week, so naturally he got a Thursday visit from everyone’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Peter Parker’s Spider-Man is from Queens, technically, but there’s corporate synergy to be done, here, people, since both ABC and Spidey (thanks to some very complicated film rights negotiations) both serve at the whim of supreme overlord, Disney. So, not doing anything to refute Eleanor Shellstrop’s Thursday night description of “dorky little twerpy Spider-Men” on last night’s The Good Place, we got to see current web-slinger Tom Holland stumble out onstage with a NYC traffic cone on his head, vainly trying to take his mask back from Kimmel sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez.
But, wait a minute, true believers—if Holland (unveiling the snazzy new Spidey-suit he’ll be wearing in next year’s Spider-Man: Far From Home) is back as a completely not-[redacted] Spider-Man, doesn’t that constitute a huge spoiler since he totally [redacted] along with [long list of redacted] in [redacted]? After Kimmel asked that very question, Holland/Parker stammered in signature endearingly twerpy fashion that, um, Thanos is robbing a bank somewhere and he has to go stop him. Another nice save, Spidey—Thanos has nothing on Disney when it comes to punishing those who’ve screwed with their evil plans.
