Tom Noonan and Emily Hampshire join Syfy’s 12 Monkeys
12 Monkeys—Syfy’s 13-episode adaptation of a 129-minute adaptation of a 28-minute movie—has added more actors, feeding an unstoppable urge to grow bigger and bigger, until the series overtakes the whole world. Decades from now, the survivors will build a time machine to send back one man, haunted by a childhood memory, to the 20th century to stop the mysterious cine-agitator known only as “Chris Marker.”
Deadline is reporting that Syfy has added perpetually middle-aged tall man Tom Noonan and Canadian actress Emily Hampshire to the show’s cast. Noonan will be playing a “a newly created character, a mysterious villain who is the face of the enigmatic Army of the 12 Monkeys.” Hampshire will play Jennifer Goines, the series’ gender-flipped version of Jeffrey Goines, the character played by Brad Pitt in Terry Gilliam’s film.
