Joining a cast that already resembles an episode of I Love The ’90s, Tommy Lee Jones has signed on to star alongside Kevin Costner and Gary Oldman in the upcoming CIA thriller Criminal. Directed by The Iceman’s Ariel Vromen, Criminal tells the tale of a prison inmate who has the memories of a dead CIA agent implanted into his brain for reasons that are not yet clear, but probably involve breaking bad guys’ necks with his bare hands. Jones will play the neuroscientist who implants the dead operative’s memories—technology that Gary Oldman is apparently already using on all of us, considering how quickly that whole Playboy interview thing blew over.
