Tonight, Brooklyn Nine-Nine does this to Rosa Diaz’s hair

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Thursday, February 14. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC, 9 p.m.): It’s right up there in the headline. For reasons we can’t begin to fathom, the fine folks of Brooklyn Nine-Nine took Rosa Diaz’s beautiful hair and turned it into a triangle. It’s like Natasha Lyonne’s amazing Russian Doll hair, but bad. We would assume she’s wearing a wig (as Stephanie Beatriz surely is), but Rosa looks awfully dissatisfied with her lot. Seriously, look at that face. Computer, enhance:

The official description for this week’s episode sounds even more grim than Rosa’s new hair: “Jake and Rosa must deal with a mother in mourning as they work and rework a crime scene in order to solve a difficult murder case with confusing evidence.” But given the evidence, we have to assume there’s some kind of romp involved. You can’t take that hair seriously. LaToya Ferguson will confront this gross coiffure injustice in her recap.

Regular coverage

Star Trek: Discovery (CBS All Access, 8:30 p.m.)
The Orville (Fox, 9 p.m.)
How To Get Away With Murder (ABC, 10 p.m.)
Broad City (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.)

Wild card

Dating Around (Netflix, 3:01 a.m.): The complete first season of Netflix’s dating show drops today. In it, a single person goes on five separate first dates, and then picks one (or maybe none?) for a second date. If you prefer your romance on the scripted side, The CW has the confusingly named The Top 14 Greatest Valentine Movies Of All Time (The CW, 8 p.m.), hosted by Dean Cain.
