Tonight Happy! comes to the end of its bonkers first season
Here’s what’s up in the world of television for Wednesday, January 31. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Happy! (Syfy, 10 p.m.): What a short, strange trip it’s been. Chris Meloni’s best post-SVU gig is finishing up its first year (with no guarantee yet of a second, especially given its basis in a four-issue Grant Morrison comic), and his alcoholic hitman Nick Sax is coming to the end of the mystery of the missing girl. Andrea Reiher already described last week’s penultimate episode by saying, “I’m honestly not sure I’ve watched a more bizarre hour of television,” so she’s presumably more than a little curious to see how this all plays out.
Regular coverage
Riverdale (The CW, 8 p.m.)
The X-Files (Fox, 8 p.m.)
The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (FX, 10 p.m.)
Wild card
Full Frontal With Samantha Bee (TBS, 10:30 p.m.): It’s the second-season finale, so there’s almost certainly going to be something worth tuning in for, because this show doesn’t exactly like going off quietly into the evening.
