This very evening, Hollywood’s luckiest jerks and richest studio executives are sitting down for the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, a movie the rest of us will have to until Friday for, but Marvel Studios decided to us common folk a bone by tweeting out videos of every* post-credits scene (or “stinger”) from every* movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s a fun trip down memory lane for everybody who has spent a significant portion of the last decade sitting through credits, from Nick Fury coming around to talk to Tony Stark about the “Avenger Initiative” to Captain Marvel showing up at Avengers HQ and asking about Fury after The Snap.
Now, careful readers may have noticed a pair of asterisks up there, which are meant to indicate that isn’t actually every stinger from every movie. It’s pretty much just the meaningful stingers that tease the next movie, not the gag stingers that are just an extra joke (though the shawarma scene is here). That means you get snotty teenage Groot (foreshadowing how he behaves in Infinity War) but not the many other gags from the credits of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. Also, Spider-Man: Homecoming is left out, either because it’s still technically a Sony movie or because it only had the gag stinger (with Captain America popping up like in the videos at school. Anyway, enough of our pedantic nerdery, here’s every* stinger from every* MCU movie.
