Tony Iommi has lymphoma, still participating in Black Sabbath reunion

One of the greatest and most influential guitarists ever has been diagnosed with lymphoma, but Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi is still moving forward with the band's reunion record and tour dates. In a statement, Iommi said the cancer is in its early stages, and he "remains upbeat and determined to make a full and successful recovery." Black Sabbath announced in November that it is recording its first album with the original lineup in more than 30 years with Rick Rubin, and plans a fall release. The band is still scheduled to perform in June at the Download Festival in Donington Park, England. [via Billboard]
