Top mixtape DJ busted for being a top mixtape DJ

Billboard reports that DJ Drama, head of Atlanta's Aphilliates Music Group and a noted mixtape DJ credited with helping the careers of southern rappers Young Jeezy, T.I. and Lil Wayne, was raided Tuesday, with officers confiscating more than 81,000 mixtape CDs, computers, recording equipment and four cars. The raid is part of an effort to stop pirated CD sales, though many record labels (indirectly) use mixtape CDs to market hip-hop records. Drama and partner DJ Don Cannon were arrested on felony charges stemming from a Magistrate's warrant under the Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act. Oh well, it's not like the record industry needs help selling records.
