Who needs an iPhone? Technophiles who were unable to score one of the insanely hyped gadgets (or unwilling to part with their wireless provider and/or 600 bucks) will have another chance to stand in line for hours to nab the just-announced touch-screen iPod. The latest version of the mp3 player will utilize the iPhone's drool-worthy touch-screen interface, allowing users to flip through their music, videos, and photos with the flick of a thumb, to the general amazement/envy of onlookers. Even more tempting though, is the new iPods' wi-fi capability, which means now you don't have to wait till you get home to watch that YouTube clip of the kitty playing the piano and download the new Kanye album from iTunes.
The new pods ship in a few weeks. In the meantime, Apple online has some hardcore technoporn for y'all to lust over.
