Toxicology tests show no illegal drugs were in Amy Winehouse's system when she died
Speculation has run rampant about the cause of Amy Winehouse's death last month, but investigators are still unsure what killed her after toxicology reports didn't detect illegal drugs in her body. The family released the results in a statement, announcing that while alcohol was present in her system at the time of her death, it's not clear whether it caused her demise. Winehouse's father Mitch has said that Winehouse had been off drugs for three years before her death, but she was still fighting alcoholism after quitting drinking for several weeks. Another inquest into Winehouse's death will take place in October. [Via Washington Post]
