Toy photos reveal Godzilla's new friends in King Of The Monsters

The teaser for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters was good, so good that we put it on our list of good trailers from this year, but it only offered fleeting glimpses of the new big boys that’ll be joining Godzilla in the film—specifically Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah. Luckily, we don’t have to wait until the movie comes out in May to actually know what those monsters are going to look like, because toy companies care more about selling toys that retaining all of Hollywood’s secrets. As noted by Dread Central, a booth at this weekend’s Tokyo Comic-Con featured Bandai’s new line of high-end King Of The Monsters figures, giving everybody big, clear looks at Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah. The photos are also going around on Twitter, and you can see them below:

Basically, they look like serious, modern versions of the classic monster designs, which is to say that they look more like monsters than rubber suits. Of course, these are just fancy toys, not images from the actual movie, so they should look even more impressive when they start throwing down with Godzilla on the big screen. (Not that these won’t look impressive on your desk or expensive toy shelf.)
