Tracy Morgan to miss several episodes of 30 Rock to recover from kidney transplant

According to Entertainment Weekly, Tracy Morgan will miss at least two, possibly three episodes of 30 Rock this season while he recovers from a recent kidney transplant. Morgan had the surgery on Dec. 10—coincidentally, his entourage member Grizz Chapman had his own kidney transplant earlier this year—and he seemed to be back on his feet quickly, even turning up at a Knicks game last Friday. However, producers of the show have given him plenty of extra time off from shooting, saying 30 Rock will “address Morgan’s absence by saying he has some sort of a meltdown because of a good thing that’s happened to him.” Or they could just send him wherever it is that Danny goes.
