Bosch, based on the books by Michael Connelly, stars Titus Welliver as the titular detective for the Hollywood homicide division. And sure, it sounds like your standard police procedural, but the twist here is that Bosch may be a bit of a loose cannon who does things his own way in order to get his man. Anyway, at least there’s a killer supporting cast around the always-excellent Welliver. The Wire’s Lance Reddick and Jamie Hector are along for the ride, as is The Walking Dead’s Scott Wilson, 24’s Annie Wersching, and ER’s Amy Aquino. It remains to be seen if Bosch will become standard lone-wolf cop fare over the course of the series, but with this kind of talent in front of the camera, there’s at least some reason to be optimistic.
