It seems kind of weird for Netflix to parody one of its biggest hits with an extended parody of Making A Murderer, but if any other network or streaming service were to release something like American Vandal, it wouldn’t necessarily seem as pointed as it does coming straight from Netflix itself. Either way, this trailer for American Vandal makes it look like a note-for-note parody of all of those murder shows, from the talking heads and voiceovers to the unnecessary drone usage, but with a dick-related prank in place of the killing and cover-ups.
The first season of American Vandal—yes, Netflix is stretching this gag out for a whole season—will premiere on September 15.
