Trey Parker and Matt Stone have their own production company now

Tired of the corporate oppression that has only allowed them to put out 15 years worth of South Park with next to no network interference, a sitcom skewering a sitting president, a hit Broadway musical mocking a major religion, and several movies in which famous people are killed gleefully, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have finally taken that omnipresent boot off their neck by launching their very own production company, finally free. The aptly named Important Studios will be funded with around $300 million in fun money the duo has accumulated from the success of South Park and Book Of Mormon, most of which will be cashed into $1 bills that will be then be used to build little money-thrones from which Parker and Stone can approve their own projects—not least of which will be that long-rumored Book Of Mormon movie, one of the first things Important Studios will tackle. "Having worked with several different studios over the years, we came to realize that our favorite people in the world are ourselves," Parker and Stone joked in their joint press release announcing their new lives as big-shot moguls, hopefully while oppressing somebody.
