Hey, apparently we’re not the only ones who are into good bands covering good old songs. Stereogum has pulled together a nice tribute to The Strokes’ Is This It—which turns 10 this year, a signpost officially signifying the end of the meaning of time as we know it—featuring artists like Peter Bjorn And John, Owen Pallett, and Austra putting their own distinctive stamps on the ultimate document of early ’00s New York cool. Our favorite cover is probably Real Estate’s very Real Estate-sounding take on “Barely Legal,” but even the lesser covers are worth playing at least once. Download it here.
