True Blood's Lindsay Pulsipher takes over for Hilary Duff in The Story Of Bonnie And Clyde
Ex-Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff's pregnancy was rumored to derail production of the Tonya S. Holly-directed film The Story Of Bonnie And Clyde, and though producers have denied those rumors, a replacement has nonetheless emerged, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Enter Lindsay Pulsipher, the sharp-jawed actress most recently abandoned in a storyline graveyard somewhere in Hotshot, Louisiana, better known as Jason Stackhouse’s were-panther lover Crystal on the past couple seasons of True Blood.
Pulsipher, who can also be seen in the History Channel’s upcoming, ambitious miniseries The Hatfields And McCoys alongside Bill Paxton and Kevin Costner, will take over for Duff as the outlaw Bonnie Parker in Holly’s film, which draws from the same true-life source as Arthur Penn’s 1967 classic Bonnie And Clyde, the criminal career of the real-life Depression-era criminal couple Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow.
There’s still no new Clyde on board to replace Gossip Girl alum Kevin Zegers, who left due to his own scheduling conflicts. Although there are likely plenty of other jobless former Hotshot residents in need of work.
