“True Dadtective” imagines a very different Carcosa

The rambling, existential musings of Matthew McConaughey’s Rust Cohle in HBO’s True Detective, while often compelling in their own offbeat way, do have a fair bit in common with the rambling, existential musings of, say, a wacky Dad or Grandpa. At least, that’s what The Second City posits in “True Dadtective,” a short parody that stretches a single pun into three minutes of grittily atmospheric domesticity and clumsily carved-up Coke Zero cans.
