In what we are interpreting as a sign that the second season of True Detective is set in the ’70s, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the show has recruited people you can see naked on the Internet any time you like—parental controls notwithstanding, of course—to get naked on TV. In other words, True Detective is throwing an orgy that THR describes as “a deliriously vast, Eyes Wide Shut-caliber orgy sequence involving dozens of naked bodies.” And yes, they hired porn stars.
Adult film stars Amia Miley and Peta Jensen, with whose work The A.V. Club is not familiar because they appeared in neither the UHF nor the Simpsons porn parodies, were reportedly tapped (GET IT???) for the orgy sequence. But, in a saucy twist, it turns out that Miley and Jensen are among the only people who did not strip down completely for the scene. In fact, according to THR’s sources, they were mere extras recruited through an agency along with dozens of other actors, proving that Hollywood cattle calls are far more degrading than appearing in porn.
