Last year’s presidential race felt like a reality show pretty much from the start, what with its abundance of dick jokes, sex scandals, and young girls performing sad dance routines. When an unverified document centering around Trump’s ties to Russia was released a few days ago, it barely came as a surprise that it included a bit about “golden showers.”
Still, the internet glommed onto the information, saturating the internet with piss-themed memes and tweets. Meanwhile, the Washingtonian reports that a D.C.-area restaurant took on a different approach. In collaboration with food writer Nevin Martell, Bethesda’s Community served up the Golden Showers Burger combo yesterday. Martell describes it as being “drenched with self-tanning cheddar and yellow mustard leaking down the sides, and topped with a very small pickle.”
Is your mouth watering yet? Well, the combo also included a lemon-glazed doughnut and a tall glass of lemonade. Cheekily, Martell calls it an “unforgettable happy ending.”
“We decided to pile on as many yellowish components as we could,” he told DCist. “The hardest part was finding a very small pickle on short notice.”
Unfortunately, as of now at least, the combo was only available on January 11. The good news: a portion of the proceeds for every combo sold went to Planned Parenthood.
