TruTV renews Impractical Jokers for a sixth season
In case you were wondering if that reality TV show about the four Staten Island dudes who delight in subjecting each other to an endless series of ridiculous and/or scatalogical pranks was going to be coming back for a sixth season, the answer is an emphatic yes. The stars of Impractical Jokers announced at the San Diego Comic-Con last night that they and their army of young male viewers have been invited back to TruTV once again, Deadline reports.
“The continuing multiplatform success and incredible fan engagement we see around the Impractical Jokers makes this season six order a no-brainer,” TruTV president Chris Linn said in a statement. “Joe, Murr, Q and Sal have consistently raised the bar on the creativity and fun they bring to the show each week, and we’re looking forward to what they can dream up for season six.”
The 26-episode sixth season will debut in 2017. (The show’s fifth season only just premiered on July 14.) It’s introductory episode was the No. 1 series in its time slot among adults 18-34, adults 18-49, men 18-34, and men 18-49, Nielsen reports.
