Tumblr user perfectly pairs Drake’s ”Hotline Bling” with Nintendo 64 music

Tumblr user SethEverman brought Drake’s “Hotline Bling” full circle by mixing it with music from original Nintendo 64 games.

“Hotline Bling” is a remix, of sorts, of Virginia indie artist D.R.A.M.’s “Cha Cha.” D.R.A.M.’s track uses “Star Road” from Super Mario World as the foundation of his upbeat song. Drake, however, slowed down the “Cha Cha” synths to parallel the pensive, heartbroken lyrics of “Hotline Bling.”

In the latest rendition, Everman is seen playing “Hotline Bling” while rotating through Nintendo 64 games: The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, Super Mario 64, and Mario Kart 64. Together it creates a remarkably seamless version of the song, as if was the Drake original.

The Nintendo remix cleverly signs off near the two-minute mark with a goodbye from Mario himself, “Thank you so much-a for-to playing my game.”
