The long-rumored biopic Tupac from Training Day’s Antoine Fuqua is finally expected to begin shooting this year, according to a press release from Morgan Creek Productions. Although it’s still in the process of casting, rumors surfaced several weeks ago that, along with expected figures like Suge Knight, the film would also feature the character of a 17-year-old Jada Pinkett-Smith (who was Shakur’s school friend in Baltimore), suggesting that Jada and Will may soon begin the process of injecting Willow with growth hormone. And while there have been various names bandied about for the part of Tupac himself, nothing’s been decided yet, although they’re said to be intrigued by an unknown hailing from Cuba who calls himself “Shnupac Shmakur.”
