Turns out Adam Driver is probably not the hero Batman Vs. Superman needs
After an agonizing seven whole days of speculation, it turns out Adam Driver probably won’t be playing Dick Grayson in Batman Vs. Superman after all. Although previously rumored to take on the role of Grayson and his alter-ego Nightwing (née Robin), Driver flat-out denies his involvement in an interview with Collider, saying, “No. Not that I know of, no. If you find out, let me know, then I'll know.” However, the Girls’ star does admit he's flattered by the speculation: “That's like intensely flattering as you can imagine. I mean, it's Batman and Superman—who doesn't want to be involved in something not only of that scale but of who those characters are? That's an incredible world to be able to be in for a bit. Like, who wouldn't want to do that?”
Batman Vs. Superman is set to hit theaters July 15, 2015, and the plot is still being kept tightly under wraps—although a tweet from producer Daniel Alter lends credence to the speculation that the film will feature an older, “semi-retired” Batman who's no longer on speaking terms with his former sidekick. Fans looking to narrow down the possible list of people who might be cast as The Boy Wonder can go ahead and unroll their comically long sheets of parchment and scratch Driver's name off. One down, 5,387 to go.
