TV Land casts Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff in a new sitcom
Bunheads star Sutton Foster has landed a starring role in another basic cable show. Foster will star alongside Hilary Duff in 12 episodes of Younger, a single-camera comedy from Sex And The City creator Darren Star. The show, debuting on TV Land this fall, will find Foster playing a 40-year-old newly single mom named Liza who can’t land a job. So she gets a makeover from her best friend (played by Debi Mazar), pretends to be 26, and nabs a gig as the assistant to a publishing house marketing executive. There she becomes friends with Duff’s character, Kelsey, who apparently can’t tell that Foster is more than a decade older.
This is the second single-camera comedy TV Land has ordered this year. The other, Jennifer Falls, stars Jaime Pressly and will begin airing this June.
