TV violence debate continues in Senate
Just so's you know, certain lawmakers are still looking for government regulation of TV violence, for better or worse. One senator, Democrat Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia, says he plans to draft a bill "within the next few weeks." Hollywood Reporter's coverage of a senate hearing yesterday makes it sound like the issue doesn't have a lot of force behind it right now, despite the noise, and networks like Fox and FX did kinda make a point—that they make it pretty clear to viewers when a show is violent (because, well, why would they try and hide the appeal of a show like 24?).
