Twin Peaks book to reveal what happened to its characters
The Showtime revival of Twin Peaks promises to pick up in the present day, 25 years after fans last saw the denizens of that town, leaving lots of unanswered questions about them—questions that probably wouldn’t have been answered anyway, even if the show had still been running this whole time. That was sort of Twin Peaks’ thing. Nevertheless, producer Mark Frost has announced he’ll delve into them all with The Secret Lives Of Twin Peaks, a book he’s writing for release prior to the show’s return in 2016. Promising to reveal what’s happened to the show’s characters since the finale, Frost’s novel also “offers a deeper glimpse into the central mystery that was only touched on by the original series.” Namely: What was up with that weasel riot in the second season? Why were those weasels rioting, anyway? And who stood to gain? Questions like these—and other, less pertinent matters, like whether Audrey died or not—will be answered in late 2015.
