Tyler Perry creates two archetypically Tyler Perry shows for Oprah Winfrey's Oprah Winfrey Network

The upcoming division of Oprah Winfrey's OWN into equal Oprah and Tyler Perry cells has reached its first stage of Tyler Perry's mitosis, with Tyler Perry splitting into two new Tyler Perry cells that will allow Tyler Perry to continue to multiply across the whole of entertainment. Having dug deep into Tyler Perry's vast reserves of unflinching social commentary and folksy wisdom, then just slapped some stuff together about lovingly bickering families again, Tyler Perry has created two all-new archetypically Tyler Perry shows for Oprah's OWN.

Tyler Perry's Love Thy Neighbor is a comedy set at "Love’s Diner, where every day the menu serves up good food, great laughs, valuable life lessons, and a whole lot of [Tyler Perry's] love for its zany neighbors," hence the typically obvious Tyler Perry title with Tyler Perry's version of a clever double entendre. Meanwhile, the drama Tyler Perry's The Haves And The Have Nots examines the "obstacles and secrets" shared by two families, the well-to-do Cryers and the poverty-stricken clan of their housekeeper, sort of like Tyler Perry's Downton Abbey without the trappings of historical setting or interesting characters. (That Tyler Perry did not actually name the families The Haves and The Have-Nots represents a genuine creative growth for Tyler Perry.)

Both Tyler Perry shows are due to air on Oprah Winfrey's OWN in mid-2013, followed by the premiere of TylerPerryOprahDome, a hypnotic, 24-hour video loop of Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey's faces slowing merging in and out of each other. Long live the new Tyler Perry flesh.
