Promising a looming future that will leave no pop-culture surface without one of their names on it, Tyler Perry has struck a deal with Oprah Winfrey to put Tyler Perry's shows on Oprah's OWN, making Oprah's network the "singular destination" for all of Tyler Perry's programming, other than the cable channels, movie theaters, DVD releases, and stadium-seating theaters that are the other destinations for Tyler Perry's programming. Tyler Perry's new Oprah Winfrey arrangement will begin with a pair of Tyler Perry-scripted Tyler Perry shows to air on Oprah Winfrey's OWN next year, joining other Tyler Perry shows Tyler Perry's For Better Or Worse, Tyler Perry's Meet The Browns, and Tyler Perry's House Of Payne on the formerly Tyler Perry-favored TBS, which failed to keep Tyler Perry's loyalty by not promising Oprah Winfrey money to Tyler Perry.
Tyler Perry's new shows will also join Oprah Winfrey's OWN shows such as Oprah's Next Chapter, Oprah's Lifeclass, Oprah's Master Class, Oprah Behind The Scenes, and Oprah: Where Are They Now?, until time itself is reduced to a binary measurement of "Oprah" or "Tyler Perry" hours. "It's half past Oprah—almost Tyler Perry," you'll say, in between laughing and learning.
