U2 ditch Rick Rubin tracks, new record still due in Feb
NME.com, not necessarily the most reliable source of music news, is reporting (based on an interview with The Edge) that the band has scrapped the songs it intended to record with super-producer/bearded guru Rick Rubin. For fans finally hoping that U2 would record their very own "Under The Bridge," this is horrible news. Instead, U2 will move ahead with their usual production team, Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, and complete a record they're calling No Line On The Horizon. (In all likelihood, it's completed already, since it's apparently due out in February.)
