Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt might end with a movie after season 4
Half of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s fourth season is coming to Netflix at the end of this month, but the show’s wacky New York adventures might be coming to an end soon after that. According to a report from Deadline, Netflix and the producers at Universal Television are currently talking about ending the series with a movie after the fourth season concludes later this year, with series co-creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock set to write the streaming film—assuming it does happen. Deadline’s sources say that “everyone felt it was time to end the series,” which seems to imply that the fourth season ends with a door open for a fifth season, but any lingering threads would now be resolved in this movie. This movie idea hasn’t been confirmed by Netflix yet, but it would follow a trend at the streaming service established by the extended finale for Sense8.
