UnREAL alum Nathalie Kelley is moving on from playing a bachelorette to heading up a Dynasty. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kelley has joined the cast of The CW’s reboot of the primetime soap. Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are bringing back the catfights of yesteryear, though probably not the feathered hair. And Kelley, who’s also popped up on The Vampire Diaries, has been cast as Cristal (née Krystle) Carrington, who’s engaged to a Denver tycoon. Cristal will be pitted against her soon-to-be stepdaughter Fallon in the battle for the Carrington fortune. Not only that, but as a Latina, she’ll also have to deal with whatever comes with suddenly being surrounded by WASPs. (So, tennis games and class warfare?) We like how Blake’s already been sidelined in this story (sorry, John Forsythe), but we’ll wait until the casting of Alexis before we change our status to “cautiously optimistic.”
