Here at The A.V. Club, we’ve been following the Detroit RoboCop statue saga for a while now, even soliciting opinion from the city’s most prominent citizen/RoboBooster, Zodiac Motherfucker. But Funny Or Die went right to the source and asked the Cyborg Of Self-R-E-S-P-E-C-T himself, Peter Weller, for his opinion. Shockingly, the Wisconsin resident who once filmed a movie about Detroit in Dallas, Texas lands in the “pro” camp, arguing that the “silly” statue is the first step in healing the city’s many woes. Is there anything irony can’t solve?
