UPDATED: Here are the nominees for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards
The nominees for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards were just announced by Orange Is The New Black’s Uzo Aduba and So You Think You Can Dance’s Cat Deeley in Los Angeles, a change from the Emmys tradition of making some poor actress get up at the crack of dawn to announce the nominees. That’s not the only change in Emmys protocol this year, as a few months ago the Television Academy changed its rules to expand the number of nominees in the Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Comedy Series categories and define a “comedy” as 30 minutes or less, a change that mostly served to reclassify Orange Is The New Black as a drama.
This year, Game Of Thrones leads the pack with 24 nominations, although a Mad Men victory lap might leave the series feeling like a bridesmaid come September 20. A partial list of nominees is below, with more to come.
