UPDATED: Kristen Stewart and Alec Baldwin will host Saturday Night Live in February
In all the years she’s been famous, which amounts to quite some time now, Kristen Stewart has never taken to Studio 8H to host Saturday Night Live. That will change come February 4, when she appears alongside musical guest Alessia Cara. Stewart next stars in Olivier Assayas’ Personal Shopper, which is due out in March.
The now-critically-lauded-indie-star also has something in common with the SNL cast: She knows what it’s like to be the subject of Donald Trump’s inappropriate tweets. Back in 2012, Trump was preoccupied with Stewart’s relationship with Robert Pattinson, repeatedly attacking her. In an interview at Sundance—where she made her directorial debut with the short film Come Swim—Stewart told Variety: “He was mad at me a couple years ago, really obsessed with me a couple years ago, which is fucking crazy.” Indeed it is, but sadly not even surprising.
Update: SNL also announced that it will try to piss off Donald Trump even more by having Alec Baldwin host the February 11 episode. Ed Sheeran will provide the tunes.
