It hasn’t been the best summer for TV: UnREAL and Mr. Robot experienced shaky second seasons, several series either got the boot or voluntarily called it quits, and charming British competition shows started shedding their charming British talent. Yes, the Emmys are tonight, the surest sign of fall TV’s imminent arrival this side of an A.V. Club TV preview.
