Buoyed by the, um, let’s call it “success” of its 2007 reunion tour, Van Halen has reentered the studio with original singer David Lee Roth to record its first new album since 1998’s Gary Cheronified Van Halen III. The as-yet-untitled effort is supposedly due for release in 2011 with another tour potentially to follow, although reports of bitter in-fighting and inevitable implosion are obviously expected much sooner than that.
