Blogs are ablaze with rumors of a Van Halen-David Lee Roth reunion tour, and now The L.A. Times, one of them old fashioned MSM sources, says the band is "reportedly" getting back together and an obligatory press conference is imminent. The reunion, which was precluded by oldies tours with Roth replacement Sammy Hagar in 2004 and '05, appears motivated by Van Halen's induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame. (There's also the band's probable induction into The Fat Summer Cash-In Hall Of Fame this summer.)
This isn't a full reunion of the original Van Halen line-up, however—Eddie's 15-year-son Wolfgang has replaced bassist Michael Anthony, who probably shouldn't be known as the quiet one any longer.
