Vanilla Ice will star in a pantomime version of Peter Pan

Finally, a Peter Pan project worth paying attention to: Rolling Stone reports (via the BBC) that a December production of Peter Pan in Kent’s Chatham Theatre will feature Vanilla Ice playing a pantomime version of Captain Hook. As the article notes, it’s Ice’s first attempt at pantomime, although he has acted before—effortlessly conveying man’s capacity to adapt (nay, New Jack groove to) incomprehensible horror in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, and also starring in 1991’s Cool As Ice, which was essentially The Wild One and Rebel Without A Cause combined, plus way more awesome jackets. Ice has been enjoying a second-wind popularity in the U.K of late., thanks to his appearance on the figure skating competition show Dancing On Ice, where he recently performed a standout routine to Ravel’s “Boléro.” Just kidding. The show has “ice” in the title, and it takes place on icewhat do you think he did?
