Veteran voice actors on capturing the voices of classic characters

Voice actors Dee Bradley Baker and Bob Bergen both experienced the daunting task of taking over the voices of classic Looney Tunes characters when they met on Space Jam. Since then, they’ve managed to completely embody the characters made famous by veteran voice actor Mel Blanc. At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the pair took part in a panel for I Know That Voice, the 2013 documentary being developed into an episodic television series, with each installment focusing on a particular voice actor and exploring their creative process and career trajectory. Before the panel, Baker and Bergen taught us the tricks to capturing a storied voice in a way that doesn’t feel too impressionistic.
